Allergy & Intolerance Bundle (IgE + IgG Blood Testing)

Please note: this is a results-only service. Your test reports will be sent directly to you for your own review. No consultation or interpretation is included.

This bundle combines two blood tests:

A food allergy test (IgE) and

A food intolerance test (IgG).

Together, they offer a fuller picture of how your immune system responds to foods.

Why choose the bundle?

IgE (allergy) and IgG (intolerance) reactions involve different arms of the immune system, meaning a food can cause symptoms in one pathway but not the other.

  • IgE (allergy) reactions are usually immediate, such as swelling, itching, hives, breathing symptoms, digestive upset, or anaphylaxis risk.

  • IgG (intolerance) reactions are typically delayed and may relate to bloating, fatigue, headaches, skin issues, joint pain, IBS-like symptoms, and more.

Because these immune pathways are independent, a food may show up on one test but appear normal on the other.

For anyone with long-standing symptoms, mixed reactions, or unclear triggers, doing both tests provides broader information and reduces the chance of missing something important.

What’s included in the bundle

1. Food Allergy Test (IgE)

This test measures IgE antibodies to common food allergens using a laboratory-analysed finger-prick blood sample, the medically validated method for identifying true allergies.

Important notes for allergy testing:

  • A normal result does NOT guarantee safety. Allergic reactions including anaphylaxis can still occur even if your IgE result appears normal. Immune responses can change over time.

2. Food Intolerance Test (IgG)

This test measures IgG antibodies to 200+ foods and drinks using a laboratory-analysed finger-prick blood sample. IgG testing is used to help guide elimination diets and identify possible delayed reactions.

Why blood testing matters:

  • Blood analysis in a laboratory is the ONLY credible way to measure IgG or IgE immune responses.
  • Hair tests are not reliable, not scientifically validated, and often produce inconsistent results.

Accuracy considerations for allergy/intolerance testing:

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding can alter immune markers, making results less accurate due to natural immune suppression and antibody changes.
  • You must have eaten the foods you want to test for within the last few weeks. If a food hasn’t been consumed, the immune system may not produce detectable IgG, creating a false-negative result.
