Cardiometabolic Panel
The CardioMetabolic profile is a comprehensive venous blood test designed to assess cardiovascular risk, metabolic function and early markers of metabolic syndrome and type II diabetes.
It provides a detailed look at lipoprotein sub-fractions, apolipoproteins, signs of arterial inflammation, and PLAC® activity, which can give insight into active atherogenesis and plaque instability.
This test also measures Cystatin C for a more precise evaluation of kidney filtration, and 1,5-anhydroglucitol (Glycomark®) to identify short-term fluctuations in blood sugar that HbA1c alone may miss.
Homocysteine is included due to its relevance for endothelial health and cardiovascular risk. In addition, key adipokines linked to insulin sensitivity and liver fat metabolism are assessed, offering a rounded picture of metabolic balance and cardiometabolic wellbeing.
A venous blood draw is required, and the sample must be centrifuged immediately after collection.
Phlebotomy is not included, so you will need to arrange your own private phlebotomist with a centrifuge.
Please note: this is a results-only service. Your test report will be provided for your own review, and no consultation or personalised interpretation is included.

When is this test useful?
This profile may be particularly helpful if there is:
• A personal or family history of cardiovascular disease
• Excess abdominal fat
• Obesity
• Insulin resistance
• Fatty liver disease
It provides an in-depth view of cardiometabolic health, highlighting early imbalances and supporting proactive, personalised lifestyle and nutrition planning.
Preparation Instructions
Fasting for a blood test:
For the most accurate results, please fast for 8 hours before your blood draw. Morning appointments after an overnight fast are recommended.
Stay well hydrated:
Drink 2–3 litres of plain water the day before and at least 500ml 1–2 hours before your appointment. Good hydration helps improve the quality of your sample and makes the venous draw easier.
