Neuro-Adrenal Panel
Neuro Adrenal Panel
Please note: this is a results-only service. Your laboratory report will be sent directly to you for your own review. No consultation, interpretation, or personalised guidance is included in this purchase.
The Neuro Adrenal Panel provides a comprehensive overview of how your adrenal glands, stress response and neurotransmitter systems are functioning.
This dual-sample test uses saliva to assess adrenal hormone output throughout the day and urine to evaluate the production and breakdown of key neurotransmitters.
This combination allows you to understand both the HPA axis (your brain–adrenal stress pathway) and the balance between inhibitory and excitatory neurotransmitters, which influence mood, focus, energy, sleep and emotional resilience.
Sample type: Saliva & Urine
Biomarkers tested: 13
What this test looks for:
Adrenal / HPA Axis Function (Saliva):
- Cortisol (diurnal pattern) – identifies stress load, burnout patterns, adrenal dysfunction, sleep-wake rhythm issues.
- DHEA – provides insight into long-term adrenal reserve, vitality, and resilience.
Neurotransmitters (Urine):
Analysis of 9 primary neurotransmitters, including:
- Dopamine – motivation, drive, pleasure, focus
- Serotonin – mood balance, sleep, appetite regulation
- Epinephrine & Norepinephrine – fight-or-flight stress chemicals
- Glutamate – excitatory signalling, cognition
- Glycine & GABA-related pathways – calming, inhibitory signals
- Histamine – alertness, reactivity
- Phenethylamine (PEA) – attention, mood, executive function
Creatinine is also measured to ensure accurate normalisation of urinary neurotransmitter levels.
This panel helps identify whether symptoms may stem from adrenal dysregulation, neurotransmitter imbalance, chronic stress, fatigue, mood changes, sleep issues or cognitive difficulties.
When should you consider this test?
Choose the Neuro Adrenal Panel if you want a full picture of stress physiology and brain chemistry. It is especially useful for:
- Fatigue or burnout
- Chronic or unresolved stress
- Mood changes
- Anxiety or low motivation
- Sleep issues
- Cognitive difficulties or "brain fog"
- Hormonal fluctuations affecting mood or energy
- A deeper understanding of adrenal function beyond standard hormone testing
