What to Expect in a Consultation
Your Body is a Remarkable, Resilient System Your body is an incredible, self-regulating system that is always working to keep you in balance. No matter what challenges it faces, it constantly adapts, repairs, and adjusts to keep you going. Given the right conditions—the right nutrients, the right support, and the removal of anything standing in its way. It has an amazing ability to regain balance. I know that when you’re struggling with symptoms, it can feel frustrating and disheartening. But those symptoms aren’t your body failing you, they’re actually signs that it’s working hard to regain balance, but something is getting in the way. It might be a nutrient deficiency, an underlying imbalance, an environmental factor, or even chronic stress, but whatever it is, your body is doing its best to compensate. |
My job is to help identify what those root causes are that are stopping your body from thriving and support you in removing those barriers. Together, we’ll work towards giving your body what it needs so it can do what it was designed to do wherever it can.
Before We Meet
Before we meet, I’ll ask you to fill in a detailed health questionnaire and keep a food diary for a few days. This helps me get a clear picture of your current health, lifestyle, and eating habits, so we can make the most of our time together. When we sit down for your consultation - whether in person or online, we’ll go through your health history, symptoms, and any concerns you have, along with the information from your questionnaire and food diary. If you have any recent and relevant blood tests, I’ll take those into account too. To get the clearest and most complete picture of your health, I like to start with a comprehensive blood test, designed in collaboration with one of the country’s leading laboratories. |
This helps me understand your biochemistry in detail, allowing me to create a truly supportive and restorative plan tailored to your needs.
That’s why my packages include the relevant testing, ensuring we have all the information we need right from the start. However, if you’d prefer to begin without testing, you’re welcome to book a consultation, and we’ll work with what we have.
No two people are the same, and neither is my approach. My aim is always to understand the full picture so I can help you move forward with a personalised plan that makes a real difference to how you feel.
Consultation and Testing Process
The consultation process involves two main meetings:
For clients who are not local, you can have your blood test done through a private phlebotomist near you. Everything else will follow the same process, ensuring a smooth and effective experience.
If you choose to have an appointment without any testing, this will be done in one longer appointment.
What to Expect from Your Personalised Plan
After your consultation, I’ll provide you with a clear, practical plan based on everything we’ve discussed. Your plan may include:
✔ Dietary recommendations – Simple, realistic adjustments to support your health goals without feeling restrictive.
✔ Supplement guidance – If needed, I may suggest high-quality supplements to help correct deficiencies or support specific concerns.
✔ Lifestyle recommendations – Advice on areas like sleep, stress, movement, and environmental factors that could be affecting your health.
✔ Further testing (if needed) – In some cases, additional functional testing may be recommended to gain deeper insight into specific issues.
Follow-Up Appointments
Most people require at least one follow-up appointment after implementing their personalised plan. Follow up appointments are usually arranged for approximately 8 weeks after the initial consultation to track progress, adjust recommendations, and ensure you are getting the best results.
Bringing a Guest
You are welcome to bring a friend or family member to your appointment if you would like support during your session.
If you have any further questions or would like to book your consultation, please feel free to get in touch.

What This Means for You
I don’t believe in quick fixes or one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, I use a combination of natural therapies, in-depth health analysis, and targeted nutritional strategies to help your body function at its best.
- Naturopathy supports your body’s ability to heal itself, using natural approaches like nutrition, lifestyle adjustments, nutrient supplementation, herbal medicine, and other supportive therapies. Instead of just managing symptoms, we look at what’s driving them and how we can correct those imbalances.
- Functional Medicine takes a deep dive into your health history, symptoms, and any test results, to uncover what’s really going on. It helps us understand how different systems in your body are connected and what we can do to bring things back into balance.
- Clinical Nutrition ensures that your diet is working for you, not against you. I assess your nutrient levels, dietary habits, and any potential deficiencies, then provide realistic and achievable recommendations tailored to your lifestyle.
This approach is about more than just feeling better today, it’s about helping you build the strongest, healthiest version of yourself for the long term.
"Doctor as Teacher" -
Empowering You for Long-Term Health A core principle of naturopathy is "Doctor as Teacher" This means that an important core belief of a naturopath is that we are responsible for guiding, not just treating. My goal is to help you understand your body, so you can take charge of your health rather than relying on constant professional support. By learning why symptoms arise and how to restore balance, you’ll gain the knowledge to make informed choices, recognise early signs of imbalance, and confidently manage your well-being. True health isn’t about dependency, it’s about empowerment, so you can thrive long after our work together. |
